Greetings LEAPers, and welcome to our blog!
On August 25th, we said goodbye to our #TuesdayTalks summer webinars. Over the course of the summer, LEAP has been providing high school and first-year university students with resources to help ease them into post-secondary life and prepare them for whatever challenges they might face. We invited inspiring people from across the world to talk about everything from academics and university/college life to networking and career advice. All in all, with the help of 60+ panelists, we were able to cover 13 universities, reach 38 countries, and impact 1000+ attendants! If you're interested in catching up, feel free to check back sometime this month for recordings.
If you don't know already, LEAP is a youth-led non-profit organization that works to do several things - help students learn about post-secondary opportunities; empower students to develop themselves & their confidence; assist students in the post-secondary application and selection process; and prepare students for successful experiences outside of high school. That might sound like a lot, but if you want the TL;DR, it's that we want to help you succeed. It really is that simple. We understand that going from high school to post-secondary is already scary, and now that we're in the middle of a global pandemic, things are even scarier—we get it. So we're not going to stop supporting students like you.
Now, as schools have already begun to virtually open their doors, LEAP is switching gears. Our goal still remains the same—to provide students with the right resources to succeed not only in your job or in school, but also in life—and so, this fall, starting this post, LEAP is launching our very own blog: The Typing Tadpole! We'll cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to study tips, managing stress, scholarships, and so much more. (Psst... not the biggest fan of reading? All good, we've got you covered - we're also planning on launching a podcast that will cover similar topics.) Be sure to stay tuned for more details!
So, to conclude: with the introduction of our blog, we're still going to be providing you with amazing resources for a successful post-secondary experience, just in a different format (or should we say, two different formats).
