Kinesiology at McMaster University

What made you choose this institution over all others? Did the university exceed your expectations?
I heard good things from my sister as she attended McMaster before me. Also, I heard the kinesiology program was one of the better kinesiology programs. After my first year, I truly learned a lot and I love the program and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
Do you have any lingering thoughts or regrets in your year as a whole (ex; application process, mistakes going into first year). If so, describe them.
I wish I went out more with my friends and socialized more with the people in my residence. I was super focused on my school work that I rarely had time to go and have fun with my friends which I wish I made more time for.
Briefly describe the academic rigour of your program (in terms of competitiveness, courses, professors, etc.)
If you work hard, then you will be successful. I believe for the most part that things are fair and that as long as you pay attention in class and take notes, there will be no surprises and you will be successful in the program.
Describe the social life at your campus based on your own experiences (making friends, clubs + extracurriculars, party culture etc.)
There are a lot of clubs at Mac and even a club week each semester to discover new clubs which is a good way to make friends.
What are some of the best and worst parts of your university experience so far?
For my program in particular, the weekly quizzes that I had to take for Anatomy I and II were a pain to go through as it meant that we could not take any weeks off and the grind never stopped. I joined the McMaster Acapella team MacaFellas and it really became one of the best decisions I made at Mac.
