Media Relations Coordinator

Job Description



  • Develop a national media outreach plan for LEAP Canada

  • Research collaboration opportunities with different media organizations across Canada

  • Communicate and manage relationships with national and local media outlets to increase exposure and brand awareness for LEAP

  • Write and compose press releases, press packages and editorial content as assigned by the Public Relations Manager

  • Monitor media coverage of the organization & relevant competitors and compose a contact list of media organizations across Canada

  • Support the PR Manager if needed and complete other tasks as assigned


  • Can commit 5-10 hours per week 

  • Media Outreach/Relations experience is considered an asset

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Organizational Skills

  • Creative/Innovative

  • Works well in a team environment
